Two Truths and A Lie

I've probably been showing up in your newsfeed, or in your inbox since March, right? Always rambling on about one thing or another... starting a business, stepping into your confidence, looking adversity in the eyes and walking tall right past it. I've been helping women launch businesses for about 10 months now and its been so fulfilling. Even though I was totally loving what I was doing... I was livinga lie.

{For all you skimmers, I've got an exciting offer at the end but first I need to tell you a story}

You see, I ignored a nagging whisper for a long time... kept pushing down my truths and instead lived a lie that worked for me at the time and helped me do a lot of good for others- but wasn't sustainable. I didn't realize how much I was stifling my inner writer until I forced myself to stop looking at everyone else online and focus solely on me and my young family.

I took a month off from marketing the crap out of my business and it was beautiful.

I do my best thinking when I completely unplug from all social networks and dive head first into being present with my family, especially my two young children. Gretchen is 3 1/2 and Cameron is only 6 months old. I love my sweet little family.

Spending all that time with the ones I love helped me connect with my TRUTHS

I'm a writer, a master communicator, and helping women master the art of communication is how I am really going to draw up their escape plan from the life they settled for.

I've always been a writer. Creative writing has my favorite past time since I can remember, and in college my creative writing skills really took off.

I decided to pursue technical writing because it paid the bills and honestly, it was easy for me. I loved writing instructions, informational pamphlets, posters, the whole gammon. But I got bored with it, and then when tragedy struck I knew I needed to be home with my family.

I launched my coaching business so I could quit my job and spend all my time with my family. I did that in less than 6 months and have been helping other women build businesses out of nothing too. It's kind of my thing. I turn passions into businesses. I do that by giving you the words to shape your dream into a real life money making business.

COPY IS KING. ALWAYS.

"What is copy AND why the hell should I care" you ask

Well... well written copy the life blood of your business. And if you've worked with me in the past, you'd know how passionate I am about YOU having a clear communication line to your people - aka KICK ASS COPY.

In December I was messaging back and forth with a former client turned real life friend (coffee dates have happened, people <3) and she told me about this kick ass copywriting gig she landed- and told me I'd love it. So I went for it and you know whats funny?? I DID LOVE IT. I still do.

Writing Facebook ads for pizza joints, romance novels (those ads were FUN) and various small businesses ignited my inner creative writer again.

Communications is my jam, and I am starting to feel like its a lost art- at least in this virtual world.

SO MANY PEOPLE have lost their natural voices online simply because they don't know how to translate the unspoken communication (their personality and body language) into writing- but  thats were I come in.

I made a vow to help more women in 2018, because staying home with your kids or having the freedom to work from literally anywhere starts with how well you're able to communication with your audience<--- but unscripted. The REAL YOU needs to be part of your copy, otherwise it won't stick.

Whether you have a brick and mortar business or a virtual one- COPY IS KING. Copy is what draws your audience in, ignites thier ability to truly care about what you're saying and understand how your service or product fits into THEIR life.

If you don't know HOW to put unspoken communication cues into writing, the online space hinders your ability to communicate HOW exactly you fit into your audience's life.

Unspoken communication is important, and its exactly whats missing from your copy right now.

Thats why it falls flat, blends in, doesn't make sales, and just feels blah.

It needs more YOU in it, and thats exactly what I'm going to help you achieve.

Your personality, your message, the way you speak your words, all of it.

I'm going to inject your copy with personality - and make your audience snap their neck towards you so hard, they're gonna need some Advil, and maybe even a brace.

Pure Personality // {Unscripted}

Its all about you. it always has been. What you have is what your audience needs, so lets communicate it.

This is what I am offering to you today:

  • I am your copywriter and I'm going to take your passions and unspoken communication skills and translating them into the love language of your online audience.
  • Copy with your personality and a whole lotta "WOW! I NEED THIS NOW!!" reaction from your people. AKA copy that sells for you, online marketing made easy, freeing up a hell of a lot of YOUR PRECIOUS TIME. Sounds amazing, right? yea so lets talk about it.
  • Helping women achieve the escape plan is my purpose and the way I'm going to do it is by taking much needed work OFF YOUR PLATE. You can breathe a little easier now.

I'm in your corner- always have been.

I am here to make your life easier, your escape smoother, your wallets fatter, and your life fuller. I am here to be your copywriter.

Shoot me an email here: Megan.Cahak@unbridledambition.com

Lets have a conversation about how we're going to take your copy from "run of the mills" to "holy shit, I need more of THAT in my life".

You're here because you have something to say, so lets make sure your audience hears you loud and clear.

Always in your corner,

Megan Cahak (pronounced Saha in case you're curious)

what you need to start your online business

You want to start that business but working fulltime and raising a young family feels like the furthest thing you should be considering.

But let’s just say, you play with the idea for a moment.

You want to start an online business but how would you do it?  Exactly?

And would it be successful enough to leave your 9-5 in the dust?

Two years ago, my husband went in for a routine eye exam and came out with a diagnosis no one saw coming. He had a brain tumor and needed to have it removed as soon as possible.

My husband got sick in the middle of us finally hitting our stride as a family. Almost losing him was the wakeup call I needed to sit up and realize the life we built around us was not what we wanted. So I kicked my business off with a strong why and it pushed me over the edge to achieve my dream.

I began to build the life that we wanted while working two full time jobs, pregnant with my second, not even a year after my husband had major brain surgery.

I learned there are 6 key steps every women needs to take when launching an online biz while switching through the thousands of other hats all women wear.

I am here to tell you, yes you can, but there are a few things you need and I had to learn them the hard way.

1. A support system

If I was to guess, I bet you have an incredible support system.  Family who loves you, friends who adore you but now you’re about to do something so outside of the normal, they will freak.

and it will start to fill you with doubt.

I dont blame them, I understand, you're about to turn their world upside and giving yourself a new name tag like“business owner” is one they’re not used to.

So our first priority is to find people who are doing what you’re doing.

I like to call them “biz besties”.

You will turn to these people when entrepreneurship gets hard, you are unsure about which step to take or you just want to bounce ideas off someone.

Running a business gets messy and you can easily get trapped inside your head wondering if you have the confidence and ability to keep going.

This is why a  strong support system will keep you from throwing the towel.

They have been a key part to my success online because I would have given up a long time ago.

2.  Going legit

Your online business is not a hobby, hustle, or side gig.

It’s a business and you better be ready to commit that ie. get legit.

Start with an annoucement, build your business page, and begin to establish yourself online on social media platforms.

The more that you take yourself and your business seriously so will your customers.  Customers are more likely to support you, when they know you’re grounded professionally and visually than wondering if you’re chasing a fad.

3.  CEO mindset

Hey CEO, you are a CEO and CEO’s start making decisions around what would help them make the most money at the quickest rate while focusing on long term success.

Fear of investment doesn’t exist in the CEO’s mind.

I see fear of investment take over the mindset of many women who desire to be business owners.  It holds them back from growing quicker and more efficiently.

Their business barely grows (or not at all) which causes them to lose heart in the entire process and eventually give up.

I never want someone to give up because of fear, but that’s what a lot of women do.

Shifting your mindset from scarcity to abundance helps you make decisions for your business based on ROI or Return of Investment.

If you knew a larger investment would come back to you quickly and ultimately make you more money, why wouldn’t you do it?

It’s easy to let our fear of investment hold us back from hiring a mentor, paying for ads, or even paying for an email service, but what would your inner CEO say?

4.  Get intentional.

Your online business starts and ends at the computer.

You know what is also on the computer?
A trap.

A trap into your brother's girlfriend's, sister’s ex boyfriend facebook page and 2 hours are gone.

Everything you do while working, has to be intentional.  Ask yourself “what is the purpose of the work I’m doing right now.”

It’s way too easy to lose focus so stay intentional with your time so you don't get distracted.

I like to ask myself, “who am I  writing to, what outcome am I working towards with this post, and where am I are posting,” then get out.

5.  Surround yourself with successful people

When we surround ourselves with people we admire, we are far more likely to raise ourselves up to their level.

They live amongst us in value leading Facebook groups and can be found at your local networking events. They might even be the one women you look up to the most, but never felt like could keep her company... until now.

Choose the company you keep wisely.

6.  Know your WHY and make it awesome.

You want to leave your 9-5 but right now you don’t have a reason to... or at least not a really good one.

See, until you have a clear reason why you’re doing this at all, all of life's distractions and discouragement will win.

Because your why essentially serves as a motivation, it allows you to focus on the outcome you desire when the going gets tough.

And there will be a lot of the “going gets tough”.

This is the first thing we cover in all my coaching programs.  I make you dig deep because I want you to have the outcome you desire not just another job.

This is a big deal for your success.

Like you, I cared more about coming alive than just on the weekends and wanted so badly to stop waiting for the office clock to release me. I know you are sick of living this sort-of-kind-of-life. This is what I want you to do before you kick of these 6 steps.

So starting today I want you to set a clear intention behind starting your business, write it out and  give me a reason why you want this so badly, then set a goal date to make it happen. For me, I set the intention to quit my 9-5 by my daughter’s 3rd birthday so I could make up for lost time and get ready for our new addition-a baby boy.

Send your clear intention and goal date to me at megan.cahak@unbridledambition.com or leave a comment here so we can talk with you about all the opportunities waiting for you to take advantage of.

I want you to build your business right now, so here is another free checklist for you.
